ABOUT:
Rekorder is an award-winning film and photography production house in Berlin, representing a roster of directors, photographers, and visual artists. Their work had outgrown the website. It felt crowded, was hard to update, and hid what mattered most: the work itself. I redesigned their digital presence with a new art direction, a CMS-driven website, and a motion and social system to bring it all together.
RESULT:
Rekorder hired me after the handover — I then ran the system I built, from the inside including social media
Reviewing the roster went from 3-4 steps to one click
2 new directors were attracted after web launch

The Challenge
The previous site didn't give the roster or the projects the space they deserved. New signings were hard to spot, publishing new work took too many steps, and updates went unnoticed. Meaning an agency that sells visual excellence had a digital presence that undersold it at every touchpoint.
The approach
Make the site feel like walking into the studio. A clean editorial layout that lets the work lead, a roster system that gives every director and artist a proper stage and easy navigation, and a CMS built for a team that moves fast. So publishing new work takes minutes, not a workflow. Light, purposeful motion adds polish without ever competing with the films.
